VIDEO: Massive blue whale washes ashore in Bolinas

BOLINAS, Calif. (KGO) -- A 79-foot blue whale washed up onto Agate Beach in Bolinas Friday morning. Blue whales are on the endangered species list.

Scientists have confirmed the whale was female. The cause of death is currently unknown. A full necropsy will be performed Saturday.
