Volunteers in Richmond plant trees as part of MLK Day of Service

RICHMOND, Calif. (KGO) -- Many people around the Bay Area spent Martin Luther King Jr. Day by volunteering in their community as part of the MLK Day of Service.

Many of the volunteers are participating by cleaning up some of the city's parks and gardens. In Richmond, families came to take part in planting redwood trees.
