4-year-old dead, 6-year-old injured after car strikes sidewalk in Burlingame, police say

BURLINGAME, Calif. (KGO) -- One child is dead and another is in the hospital after being hit by a car in front of a business in Burlingame Friday evening, police said.

Police say at around 6:25 p.m., a vehicle struck the two children on the sidewalk in front of Truffle Poke Bar at 1212 Donnelly Ave.

A 6-year-old girl was transported to a hospital for treatment.

A 4-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the 19-year-old driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

This is an active investigation being conducted by the Burlingame Police Department along with assistance from the North County Major Accident Investigation Team. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact the Burlingame Police Department.
