1-year-old boy in critical condition after truck crashes into Oakland apartment: authorities

OAKLAND, Cailf. (KGO) -- A one-year-old boy is in the hospital after a truck crashed into the side of an apartment building in Oakland Saturday morning.

The crash happened in the area of 57th Avenue and Foothill Boulevard around 9:30 a.m.

The boy's uncle says he was inside the apartment building when the car came crashing in the side from a nearby car wash.

Family says debris fell on the boy - leaving him in critical condition.

A photo provided to ABC7 Eyewitness News shows the damage inside the home.

It's unclear what caused the crash.
