SANTA ROSA, Calif. -- Two Southern California men have been arrested in connection with a massive "gift card draining" scam that spanned dozens of California communities, the Santa Rosa Police Department announced.
Detectives arrested the two men after tracking their vehicle to several CVS stores in Sonoma County, police said.
Officers say they recovered about 25,000 compromised gift cards along with ledgers and $7,000 in cash. This is reportedly one of the largest seizures of its kind in the state.
