WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (KGO) -- Walnut Creek police have arrested a man in a double homicide after they say the bodies of two women were found inside a home late Thursday night.
Police responded to a disturbance call with possible gunfire on Kelobra Ct. near Perada Dr. around 11:45 p.m.
Officers found two women dead, but are not saying how they died.
Police say a man known to both victims has been arrested, and is currently booked at the Martinez Detention Facility without bail. They do not believe there are any other suspects.
Walnut Creek Police Lt. Scott Moorhouse said Friday morning that one adult and two young children were at the scene when officers arrived and were taken by authorities. The adult was interviewed by detectives and was being considered a person of interest.

"I wanted to share for our residents, there is no threat," Lt. Moorhouse said. "I know it's concerning to see a police presence in a nice, quiet neighborhood like in Walnut Creek, but please be assured to my friends in the community, you're safe, your Walnut Creek Police Department is thoroughly investigating this matter and we'll work diligently to resolve this case."
Walnut Creek resident Holly Bertuccelli has lived in the neighborhood for 37 years and says the news is very shocking.
"I walk every morning between 5:30 and 6:30 and I'm not aware of anything that's ever happened like this in our neighborhood before, so it's very disturbing," Bertuccelli said.
