CLEARLAKE, Calif. (KGO) -- The North Bay city of Clearlake has declared a local emergency because of a massive sewage spill.
It all started from a ruptured pipe on Robin Lane around 8 a.m. on Sunday January 11.

But the spill has not stopped, despite efforts to repair it, because of multiple faulty valves.
Raw sewage has flooded the area and has spread into waterways and ditches.
About 58 properties are impacted.
The wastewater system is managed by the Lake County Sanitation District.
People in that area are being urged to drink bottled water.
"Residents with private wells located within the area shown on the referenced map are encouraged to contact Environmental Health to schedule well sanitization services," according to update guidance from Lake County on Friday January 17.
The county says individuals should contact Environmental Health at (707) 263-1164 to schedule well sanitization services.
The county also announced that the Special Districts deployed a mobile laundry and hygiene service trailer to support affected residents.
They say the unit includes two laundry units, and that residents can come drop off their laundry and pick it up at a future time.
The City Of Clearlake wrote on Facebook residents can contact the Lake County Special Districts at 707-263-0119 to request resources and additional information.
