

ERIE, Pa. -- A mass shooting in Erie, Pennsylvania, left nine people dead, including multiple children, according to authorities.
Police said a gunman opened fire inside and outside a home.
Authorities said the suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
"This is one of the most difficult and heartbreaking scenes our officers and investigators have ever encountered. The loss of life is devastating, and the circumstances we are working through are deeply disturbing," said Police Chief Rick Lorah.
The identities of the suspect and the victims have not been released.
Investigators have not announced a possible motive, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
