90-year-old man who crashed into Los Gatos coffee shop has died

LOS GATOS, Calif. (KGO) -- A 90-year-old man who crashed full-speed into a Los Gatos coffee shop on Thanksgiving has died.

Surveillance video captured the crash on Thanksgiving night.

The 90-year-old had to be extricated from the vehicle and hospitalized.

A car plowed into a coffee shop in Los Gatos on Thanksgiving night. The driver was a 90-year-old man. Police say alcohol might have played a role.

Police say he died on Sunday.

The Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Company was closed at the time, so no one else was hurt.

The store was extensively damaged but has since partially reopened.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, although police suspect alcohol may have been a factor.
