The highly anticipated season finale of ABC's revival of "Scrubs" airs Wednesday night.
And one of the show's new cast members also happens to be one of Broadway's biggest stars.
It's shaping up to be quite the month for Michael James Scott, who is also about to take his final bow as the longest-running Genie in Disney's "Aladdin."
"I have done roughly 4,000 shows," says Scott, who is truly having a moment right now.
For the past 13 years, Michael James Scott has played the lovable, mystical blue wish granter, from touring productions to Broadway.
The show has taken him around the globe and on May 3, Scott will take his final bow.
"It feels so crazy," says Scott. "There are so many emotions running through me. It has been the honor of a lifetime to play a role rooted in joy, a show literally built on love and light and laughter."
At the same time, Scott also landed a role in the highly anticipated revival of ABC's "Scrubs."
"It never was on my bingo card that Michael James Scott would be in the revival of Scrubs, playing a new character," he laughs. "Are you kidding me?"
Scott plays nurse Francois Dubois.
"The name says it all," he says. "I am a charge nurse full of sass, but full of heart."
It turns out, Scott isn't the only singer on set.
He posted a video of him singing a duet from "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" with co-star Zach Braff.
"When theater kids unite, honey, it doesn't matter where you are," he laughs. "I'm a #theater kid, theater nerd for life. If you start singing from a musical, I'm going to go with you. I'm going in. And Zach literally shocked me!"
But wait! There's one more plot twist in Scott's life script right now.
"Michael James Scott is playing Michael James Scott on General Hospital," he says with glee. "It's a crossover event that has never happened before, which is really, really cool. I'm so excited for fans to possibly get some 'Aladdin' music happening on an episode of 'General Hospital.'"
Keep your eyes peeled for Scott on three upcoming episodes of General Hospital.
The Scrubs revival season finale is Wednesday, April 15 at 8 p.m. on 6abc.
