Beloved SF Giants therapy bunny, Alex the Great, immortalized as a baseball card

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- One of the most celebrated and beloved members of the San Francisco Giants family has finally been immortalized as a baseball card.

We're talking, of course, about Alex the Great.

Trading card company Topps released a collectible card featuring the iconic Flemish Giant rabbit.

Alex is the first rabbit featured on a baseball card.

For years, Alex was a fixture at Giants games and throughout the Bay Area, meeting fans as they cheered on the Giants and comforting nervous travelers at SFO.

He died earlier this year from cancer at the age of four.
