BART service resumes in Transbay Tube after fire shut down service

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The Transbay Tube is back open for BART riders Monday morning after crews fixed an issue overnight.

Service was disrupted Sunday evening and the Transbay Tube had to be shut down because of a fire near the West Oakland Station.

That fire caused communication to be lost in the tube, which forced the closure.

BART officials say the fire was not caused by any of its trains.
