
TRUCKEE, Calif. (KGO) -- For the second time in a week, a skier has died in an accident at Northstar resort in Truckee.
This time, the skier is a person from the Bay Area.
He's identified as 53-year-old Stuart McLaughlin of Hillsborough.

A representative from the resort confirmed "a serious on mountain collision that occurred on February 15, 2026, on the advanced Polaris trail, involving two guests. Ski Patrol responded to the incident. One guest was pronounced deceased by Northstar Fire Department, and the other was transported to Tahoe Forest Hospital in Truckee for treatment."
Last Wednesday, a 26-year old skier from Los Angeles was killed in an accident at Northstar.
