SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A cat from a Bay Area shelter has risen to award-winning stardom.
"Noochie" has just been named as one of W Magazine's "Best Animal Actors of the Year."
He's one rags to riches kitty, from his humble beginnings in the Central Valley and then at the Berkeley Humane Society.

Noochie got adopted, setting him on the path to becoming a Sundance Film Festival darling for his role in "Sorry, Baby."
W Magazine this week honored him for his performance and decked him out in Prada necklace.
Berkeley Humane says they are humbled to be connected to the movie's success, even in a small way!
