
NAPA COUNTY, Calif. -- State Highway 128 near Lake Berryessa reopened Saturday after the discovery of a body prompted its closure between Monticello Dam and Wragg Canyon Road, the Napa County Sheriff's Office said.

The investigation was turned over to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office, Napa sheriff's spokesman Henry Woffard said. "It appears that the decedent did not die in Napa County," he said.
The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office is looking into possible connections to the reported abduction of 57-year-old Avtar Singh. Authorities say he was apparently forced into a vehicle and driven away last Tuesday.

Deputies responded about 8:52 p.m. to the 16000 block of W. Grant Line Road in Tracy to investigate the disappearance of Singh, the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office said.
"Surveillance footage showed a white SUV and three unidentified individuals dressed in dark clothing with the victim at approximately 2:30 p.m.," the Sheriff's Office said on social media. "The victim appears to have entered the vehicle against his will."
Singh was described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing "light-colored traditional Sikh clothing," the Sheriff's Office said.

A GoFundMe set up for his family says he died after being kidnapped. It says Singh leaves behind a wife and 6-month-old triplets.
