Cause of 'Dome Fire' burning in Yosemite National Park revealed

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK -- The cause of the Dome Fire, which has been burning in Yosemite National Park since Sept. 15, has been revealed.

According to the incident information website, an abandoned campfire is the cause of the Dome Fire.

Last week, officials urged anyone who was on the Chilnualna Falls Trail between Sept. 9 and Sept. 15 and witnessed a campfire to contact the National Park Service.

The Dome Fire has burned 5,410 Acres inside Yosemite and is 34 percent contained as of Tuesday morning.

A procession was held Tuesday for the bodies of pilots Greg King and Ryan Cutter, who were killed while fighting the wildfire.
