CHP helps save an owl stuck to a car grille on Highway 99

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. -- A driver found themselves with an unexpected passenger while driving down Highway 99, the California Highway Patrol says.

An owl had gotten itself stuck to the grille of a car.

CHP was called and safely freed the bird from the grille.

The owl was not injured and flew off shortly after the rescue.
