Riders left dangling as roller coaster gets stuck in vertical tilt, video shows
DEL VALLE, Texas -- A rollercoaster at a Texas amusement park malfunctioned twice last weekend, leaving riders stuck for a bit.
It happened on the Circuit Breaker coaster at COTALAND at Circuit of The Americas just outside of Austin, Texas.
The park said 19 riders experienced what it called an "unplanned stop" on Saturday.
Video shows as it stopped in a vertical tilt position.
The park said riders remained safely secured for about nine minutes.
The vehicle returned to a horizontal position and riders were then evacuated.

The ride experienced another unplanned stop the next day.
In that instance, the park says the vehicle returned to its normal horizontal position after about two minutes, and riders were able to exit the ride "normally."
No injuries or need for medical treatment was reported in either instance.
The park said the ride has numerous sensors and safety systems continuously monitoring operating conditions.
It added occasional operational stops are a normal part of operating sophisticated amusement rides.
