All lanes of Caldecott Tunnel reopen after crash, car fire, CHP says

ORINDA, Calif. -- Traffic was backed up on Highways 24 and 13 in Oakland on Thursday afternoon due to a collision in the eastbound direction of the Caldecott Tunnel.

The crash in Bore 2 was reported about 1:30 p.m., and both Bore 2 and Bore 3 were subsequently closed to traffic, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Both of those bores have since reopened.

Information about injuries in the collision wasn't released.
