NEW YORK, New York -- "The Devil Wears Prada 2" stars Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt have a lot to celebrate, with the highly anticipated sequel hitting theaters next week and the two now set to get matching Hollywood Walk of Fame stars at a rare double ceremony.

Playing Nigel and Emily respectively in both 2006's "The Devil Wears Prada" and its 2026 sequel, Tucci and Blunt enjoyed watching one another step back into their characters.

"I think it was very hard to keep a straight face," Tucci said.

"It's very good that Stanley and I weren't in many scenes together, because ... we'd be still shooting the film," Blunt added.

In the time between the first and second "Devil Wears Prada" movies, Tucci and Blunt went from co-stars to family, with Tucci marrying Blunt's sister in 2012.

With years of history behind the two's friendship, and their joint Walk of Fame ceremony on the way, Blunt reflected on how different her life was back when she first auditioned for the original "The Devil Wears Prada" movie.

"When I got this job, I mean, I was 22 auditioning for this, and I did it kind of on the fly, because I was actually auditioning for something else" Blunt said. "I did it kind of panicked because I thought I was going to miss my flight, which probably helped because the character is in a constant state of unravel."

Ironically enough, when Frankel could not get ahold of Blunt a week later to move her into the next round of auditions, he contacted her sister, who would eventually become the wife of her to-be co-star.

"The Devil Wears Prada 2" hits theaters May 1.
