Dog rescued from SEPTA train track support beam in West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA -- A small dog was rescued after the animal got stuck high above the street on a support beam for the SEPTA train tracks in West Philadelphia.

Officers from ACCT Philly, SEPTA Police and SEPTA maintenance workers jumped into action, using a cherry picker to safely reach the scared Shih Tzu mix.

Witnesses reported seeing her running along the tracks before she somehow got stuck along the beam.

The rescuers got her down safely, and are now caring for her at ACCT Philly.

They've named her Dottie.
