At least 8 small earthquakes strike near San Ramon; largest 3.8 quake, USGS says

At least 8 small earthquakes strike East Bay: USGS

SAN RAMON, Calif. (KGO) -- Did you feel them? A magnitude 3.8 earthquake struck near San Ramon Sunday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported at 9.38 a.m.

Several more small earthquakes struck in the area minutes later. A 3.7 quake at 9:39 a.m., a 3.0 jolt at 9:41 a.m., and a 2.9 at 9:41 a.m.

The first quake was upgraded from a 3.7 to a 3.8.

At 10:18 a.m., there was a registered 2.5 earthquake in the area.

Then at 10:42 a.m., there was a 3.2 and 3.0.

At 11:50 a.m., a small 3.0 quake struck the area.

There were more earthquakes with the smallest one being a magnitude 1.4.

Nearly 1,600 people throughout the East Bay and in San Francisco reported feeling the initial quake.

There are no reports of any damage or injuries.
