Crews put out fire at Daly City BART station that caused major delays
San Francisco firefighters helped extinguish a fire at the Daly City BART station Tuesday night and service has been shutdown in some areas.

DALY CITY, Calif. (KGO) -- Crews with the San Francisco Fire Department helped extinguish a fire at the Daly City BART station Tuesday night and service has been shutdown in some areas.

Firefighters arrived to a blaze in the area of the county line between San Francisco and Daly City, where the trackside fire could be seen involving portions of a rail section and a nearby building at the station.

Along with North County Fire and police, the SF Fire Department extinguished the blaze by 7:45 p.m.

The fire caused multiple backups in the BART system.

As of 8:45 p.m., BART service had stopped between West Oakland and Daly City in the San Francisco International Airport and East Bay directions due to the issue.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
