Exclusive clip: Benedict Cumberbatch, Olivia Colman at odds in 'The Roses'
Watch as Cumberbatch and Colman's tensions ignite in an exclusive clip of Searchlight's latest film, in theaters Aug 29.
LOS ANGELES -- In an exclusive clip shared with On The Red Carpet, tensions ignite between Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman's characters in "The Roses."
The new film from Searchlight Pictures, directed by Jay Roach and written by Tony McNamara, sees Theo and Ivy Rose go head-to-head in a nasty divorce, as their seemingly perfect life unravels before them.
In the clip, Theo combs nits out of his children's hair, while Ivy sits first class, jamón and champagne at her fingertips. The two catch up over a phone call, with Theo detailing his many hardships of the day, and Ivy just barely listening.
Once the call ends, his kid asks, "Why are you so mad at her?"
"'Cause I'm a (expletive)," he resolves.

The film also stars Andy Samberg, Allison Janney, Belinda Bromilow, Sunita Mani, Ncuti Gatwa, Jamie Demetriou, Zoë Chao and Kate McKinnon.
"The Roses" premieres in theaters August 19.
