These are the top 10 most anticipated movies this fall

NEW YORK -- Summer is known for blockbuster movies, but as the temperatures cool off, the box office is still red hot.

There are so many movies to look forward to between now and Halloween. From Rom Coms to horror, there is something for everyone.

Erik Davis is the managing editor for Fandango which surveyed over 2,000 moviegoers for the top 10 movies they are most excited for this fall.

Coming in at number 10 on their list is "Springsteen: Deliver me from Nowhere."

"You and I are a big fan of The Boss, we're New Yorkers, we kinda have to, it's in our DNA," Davis said. "Jeremy Allen White takes on the role of Bruce Springsteen in this film. This is a raw portrait of The Boss during the making of his stark haunting Nebraska album."

Next on the Fandango list is "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey."

"If you're looking for a big, bold love story that's also gonna make you think about your whole life, that's this film -- Margot Robbie, Colin Farrell star," Davis said. "It's a sweeping, time-bending romance about two lost souls who are given the chance to rewrite the past."

Number eight is "Spinal Tap II: The End Continues."

"A sequel to 'This is Spinal Tap,' which came out in 1984, it's a mockumentary, there's gonna be a bunch of special appearances from musical legends like Paul McCartney and Elton John and Questlove, so it's gonna be a lot of fun," Davis said.

Number seven is "One Battle After Another."

"It's a gritty drama about three former revolutionaries who must reunite when one of their daughters is kidnapped by a dangerous faction," Davis said.

Number six is "Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale."

"The saga of the estate comes to an emotional conclusion, expect sweeping visuals, lavish period detail," Davis said.

Number five is "Black Phone 2."

"The sequel sees Ethan Hawke's Grabber return, continues to haunt these siblings at a winter camp," Davis said. "Horror is hot right now. There is no better time for horror movies than the fall movie season."

Number four on the list is "Good Fortune."

"This is a comedy about a guardian angel played by Keanu Reeves who meddles in the lives of two down-on-their-luck men," Davis said. "This is your R rated comedy of the fall, go have a good time."

Next on the list at number three is "The Conjuring: Last Rites."

"This is the big finale, it is gonna kick off the fall in a big way," Davis said.

The number two spot goes to "Mortal Kombat II."

"They have never felt so cinematic, the fatalities are bigger, the battles are bloodier, expect bone-crunching choreography and arena-shaking action," Davis said.

And coming in at number one, the most anticipated movie for fall is "Tron: Ares."

"AI is big, it's finding its way into a lot of our movies, this story explores humanity's relationship with AI, blurring the line between technology and reality," Davis said. "This is gonna be, I would say, your big, special effects-driven blockbuster."

Davis said he expects it to be a great fall for the movies.
