OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- A major crash and fuel spill at the MacArthur Maze in Oakland blocked lanes and caused significant traffic delays on Westbound I-80 Tuesday morning.
The two right lanes on the westbound Interstate 80 connector ramp were closed following the crash and fuel spill at 2:40 a.m., which triggered a SigAlert.
After hours of lane closures, the lanes have reopened, but traffic impacts were still being seen at 11 a.m.

Drivers were advised to leave early and consider alternate routes, including Highway 24, Interstate 580 and local city streets. BART was also suggested as an alternative transportation option for commuters.
