Firefighters reopen roads after gas leak in South San Jose prompts temporary closures

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Firefighters have cleared the area after responding to a gas leak near the intersection of Cottle Road and Santa Teresa Boulevard on Saturday, which prompted road closures.

Roads were reopened after firefighters secured the leak shortly after 6:30 p.m., San Jose Fire Department said.

The incident was reported around 4 p.m. Authorities closed down the intersection one block out in all directions and asked the public to avoid the area.
