Google Trends breaks down list of top searched Thanksgiving pies

While many people are focused on the turkey and sides for Thanksgiving, some say the highlight of the day is actually dessert.

Google Trends broke down the top searched Thanksgiving pies by state.

Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware all went the traditional route, searching for pumpkin pie.

In fact, a majority of the country did.

However, some states opted for apple pie, pecan pie, sweet potato pie and chocolate pie.

Google Trends' lead analyst Jenny Lee said she was most surprised by the lack of interest in apple pie.

DoorDash did its own study as well. They discovered something interesting.

Pennsylvanians prefer cheesecake, while folks in Delaware and New Jersey are passionate about pound cake.
