SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- It's an early Christmas present for the San Francisco 49ers and their fans. The radio voice of the Niners, Greg Papa, has been medically cleared to call the last two games of the season, and perhaps the playoffs at KNBR.

Papa has been battling leukemia and has been unable to broadcast games.

KNBR first announced his return Wednesday morning on social media.
