Fremont police investigating homicide after person killed in shooting

FREMONT, Calif. (KGO) -- Police are investigating after a person was fatally shot in a Fremont neighborhood Tuesday evening.

Police say the department received multiple calls at around 4:19 p.m. of a shooting that occurred near Central Avenue and Joseph Street.

Officers located a gunshot victim who later succumbed to their injuries.

The incident remains an ongoing investigation.
