SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Hundreds are without power in a San Rafael neighborhood after a large tree fell onto power lines overnight Wednesday.
The tree blocked the roadway in the 200 block of C Street, knocking out power to the Gerstle Park neighborhood, where PG&E says nearly 700 customers are affected.
PG&E is currently on the scene and working to repair its infrastructure. Due to significant damage to the power lines, there is no estimate for when repairs will be completed.

The power outage has affected intersections and reduced visibility.
San Rafael Police urge motorists to avoid the area around Antonette Avenue for now and caution drivers to treat intersections without working signal lights as four-way stops.
