LAS VEGAS -- The Force is strong in Las Vegas!

This week at Sphere, Sphere Studios, in collaboration with LEGO, Disney and Lucasfilm, debuted a first-of-its-kind LEGO "Star Wars"-themed live interactive game experience on Exosphere, the world's largest LED screen.

Projected across the 366-foot high Exosphere was the LEGO "Star Wars" Death Star.

The experience celebrates the announcement of LEGO SMART Play, a new technology announced at the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) by LEGO, Disney's Chief Brand Officer Asad Ayaz and Lucasfilm's Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni.

LEGO SMART Play sets featuring "Star Wars" launch March 1.

LEGO SMART Play turns imagination into reality through the LEGO SMART Bricks - interactive pieces that respond to actions from the builder with music, sound effects and lights!

The first sets to include the SMART Bricks will be "Star Wars" themed, releasing March 1.

The Sphere experience brought the interactive nature of LEGO SMART Play to life across 580,00 square feet of the Exosphere, where fans could hop into the cockpit of a LEGO "Star Wars" X-Wing and recreate the trench run scene from "Star Wars: A New Hope."

Among fans who got to feel the thrill of "blowing up" the Death Star was New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart, who said, "Tonight, I felt like a kid again, stepping into the giant LEGO X-Wing and lighting up the Las Vegas skyline in honor of my favorite movies. I'm thrilled to be here celebrating the future of LEGO Star Wars."

SMART Play marks one of LEGO's most significant innovations since the 1978 release of the LEGO minifigure.
