Firefighters were able to first drop down a rescue cable for the woman to secure herself.

One firefighter then had to rappel down the cliff and strap a harness and a helmet onto the woman. It took a few tense minutes to get moving, but rescue crews were able to walk the woman safely up the cliff.

The woman was placed into an ambulance as firefighters evaluated her to determine if she needed to be taken to the hospital.

It was not immediately known how the unidentified woman ended up clinging to the rocks by the Cliff House.
