Mammoth Mountain, Calif. sees 1st snowfall of the season

MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif. (KGO) -- We may still in September, but Mammoth Mountain in the eastern Sierra got its first snowfall of the season!

Photos and videos show the ground in Horseshoe Lake covered in snow.

The area got healthy dose of fresh powder Tuesday at its highest elevations.
