Two 12-year-olds from Watsonville who were reported missing on Saturday were found Sunday morning, according to the Watsonville Police Department.

Police put out a public appeal on Saturday afternoon asking for help finding the two individuals, who allegedly took the girl's mother's car and were involved in a hit-and-run in Marina that morning.

The pair was allegedly involved in a second hit-and-run later in the day in San Jose, before abandoning the light blue Nissan Altima they were driving, police said.

At about 7:50 a.m. on Sunday, police said both children had been found.
