Person shot in stomach on southbound I-880 near Oakland Coliseum: CHP

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- A person was injured Thursday afternoon in a freeway shooting on southbound I-880 near the Oakland Coliseum.

The CHP says the victim reported being shot in the abdomen and has since been transported to a local hospital for treatment.

SKY7 was over the scene when the victim was pulled from the car and placed on a stretcher and then into an ambulance.

All lanes of southbound I-880 were closed at 3:26 p.m. as officers searched for evidence. CHP detectives are actively investigating this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the CHP investigative tipline at (707)917-4491.
