Person killed in shooting near Oakland flea market, police say

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Oakland police are investigating the shooting death of a person near the Oakland Coliseum that happened just before noon Friday.

Officers were sent to the 5400 block of Coliseum Way after someone reported a shooting.

When they got there, officers found one person who had been shot at least once. Paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where they later died, according to police.

No arrest has been announced and the victim's name wasn't released.
