OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Riding the high of this week's championship win, the Oakland Ballers say there will be a big celebration.
Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee announced on Tuesday that there will be a big rally and parade for the Pioneer League champions.
The parade will happen on Sunday, Oct. 5, starting at 1 p.m. at city hall and end at Prescott Market. The rest of the celebration will continue there.
It's been a while since the city has hosted a championship parade, with all the major sports teams moving out of Oakland.
Lee says they are so proud to bring a championship back to the city.
