4 of 5 suspects plead guilty in murder of UC professor in Greece

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Four of the five suspects on Monday plead guilty to the murder of UC Berkeley professor Przemyslaw Jeziorski in Athens, Greece.

The five suspects, including Jeziorski's ex-wife, her partner, and three others, are accused of the fatal shooting.

The ex-wife, who denies any involvement, is facing charges as a moral accomplice.

The accused gunman is the ex-wife's new partner. He claims he 'did it all for' her.

"My plan pleads not guilty - she has nothing to do with the murder," said Alexandros Pasiatas, lawyer for ex-wife of Przemyslaw Jeziorski. "She had no prior knowledge of the whole thing. She happened to be the murderer's girlfriend and now the most important is that she is terrified about the future of her children because she thinks that she may lose them."

The 43-year-old professor was shot on July 4, while walking towards his ex-wife's house in Athens to pick up their two young children.

The two were locked in a contentious custody battle.
