PALO ALTO, Calif. (KGO) -- Protesters rallied outside Stanford Hospital Tuesday after a woman spent days there in ICE custody.
The demonstration comes as a bill limiting ICE agents' access to hospitals passes a crucial test.
Community members and healthcare workers gathered to call for "care, not complicity" and stand up for East Palo Alto resident Aleyda Rodriguez.
Rodriguez was taken to the hospital while in ICE custody.
Cellphone video captures the moment she was detained by ICE agents on Monday, August 25.
In the video, you can hear Rodriguez's husband, Oscar, yell that she's sick. Rodriguez has a blood condition. Her family says she fainted during the arrest and was taken to Stanford Hospital.

ABC7 News spoke with her cousin Issy at the rally.
"This all started on a Monday afternoon, and we were sitting on a bench not knowing what to do and today we're surrounded by a whole community who is willing to support us," Issy said.
The family said they were initially allowed to visit with her at the emergency department but later that day were asked to leave. Communication after that was not allowed, and the family says federal agents were outside her door.
Doctor Yusra Hussain was contacted by the family to check on Rodriguez as her primary physician. She's also part of the Healthcare Workers for Palestine.
"I can actually say they were providing her with good medical care, it's just that part of healing is the psychological component that was severely lagging," Hussain said.

ABC7 News spoke with Professor of Law and Migration Studies Bill Hing from the University of San Francisco.
"The fact that ICE decided they were going to stand watch over this woman while she had medical care and stay there overnight for a few days outside her door, that's a whole new world," Hing said.
On Tuesday, a bill that would limit ICE access in healthcare facilities passed the legislature and now heads to the Governor's desk. State Senator Jesse Arreguín authored the bill.
"So this is absolutely critical, because it's happening right now," Arreguín said.
Rodriguez's family says the last they know, she was discharged from Stanford on August 29th, and taken to the ICE detention center in Bakersfield.
The hospital provided this statement:
Stanford Health Care will continue delivering the highest quality clinical care to all our patients and complying with federal law enforcement directives.
