Roller coaster riders forced to walk down tracks after malfunction

Roller-coaster riders were seen walking down tracks high above Six Flags New England to escape a stalled ride - after reportedly being stuck for about an hour.

TikTok user @lexistp recorded a video of the evacuation of Superman: The Ride.

"People were evacuated off the Superman ride after an hour of being stuck ... then it shut down for the day," she told Storyful.

A TikTok user commented under the video: "I was actually on that ride, the chain got stuck. The wind up there is unreal. Everyone received refunds and two free tickets."

At its highest point, the track reaches 208 feet into the air, according to Six Flags.

Storyful has not confirmed details of the incident and contacted the theme park for comment.
