SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KGO) -- All three victims in the medical helicopter crash in Sacramento have been identified and remain in critical condition.
The three people on board were pilot Chad Millward, flight paramedic Margaret Davis, and flight nurse Suzie Smith.
Millward was a longtime CHP officer and pilot who had retired.
In 2017, he received a Medal of Valor from then-Governor Jerry Brown for saving lives during the Atlas Fire in Napa County.

Millward managed to miss every single driver on Highway 50 when the helicopter came crashing down.
Smith's longtime family friend Corkey Harmon, who is also a Shasta County Supervisor, says her injuries are severe.
"She's pretty broken up," Harmon said. "Ribs, pelvis, legs and her back. There's an issue in her back. And then the biggest problem is the swelling on her brain."

In the crash, Davis was trapped underneath the helicopter and a group of bystanders worked together to lift the aircraft off her so she could be pulled out.
The aircraft had departed a hospital after dropping off a patient when it experienced an "in-air emergency" and went down just after 7 p.m.
No one on the highway was injured, something Capt. Justin Sylvia with the Sacramento Fire Department called "mind-blowing," given that the helicopter crashed in the center of the highway.
