At least 13 injured in cable car incident in SF: officials

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- At least 13 people were injured after a cable car came to a sudden stop in San Francisco on Monday, according to San Francisco fire officials. SKY7 video shows shattered glass on the window.

SFFD said two people suffered moderate injuries, and 11 people were taken to the hospital for minor pain and aches. Two people declined treatment.

SFFD has since updated the number of injured from 14 to 13.

This happened on the California Street Line between Leavenworth and Hyde.

Authorities say the stop was not caused by a collision.

It's unclear if something hit the cable car or if the glass shattered was from passengers hitting the glass during the sudden stop.
