Missing at-risk newborn baby girl, mother found safe, SF police say

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A missing 7-day-old baby girl and her mother, who were last seen on Monday in San Francisco, have been found safe, according to police.

Investigators were concerned that the child was at high risk of being neglected.

The 33-year-old mother and her newborn were last seen yesterday at the Target store on Geary Boulevard at Masonic.

The woman and her baby were found safe on Tuesday afternoon, and the alert has been called off.
