12-year-old snowboarder falls off ski lift at Mammoth Mountain, video shows

MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif. -- A 12-year-old snowboarder fell from a ski lift at Mammoth Mountain, and the scary moment was caught on video.

A woman who described herself as the snowboarder's mother says her daughter slipped before the safety bar could be pulled down.

Responders scrambled with a safety net in an attempt to catch her, but she missed and landed hard on the snow.

Luckily, the young snowboarder did not have any serious injuries.
