Pedro Pascal returns as Din Djarin in Jon Favreau's "Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu," opening in theaters 2026

LOS ANGELES -- Your first look at "Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu" is here. Lucasfilm has unveiled the official teaser trailer and poster for the highly anticipated new adventure, opening exclusively in theaters on May 22, 2026.
Directed by Jon Favreau, "Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu" continues the story of Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu, beloved characters first introduced in the Disney+ series "The Mandalorian." This time, their journey takes them to the big screen in a galaxy-spanning mission with new allies and dangerous enemies. Academy Award nominee Sigourney Weaver joins the cast in a key role.
Set after the fall of the Empire, the story finds Imperial warlords still scattered across the galaxy while the New Republic works to defend the freedom won by the Rebellion. To safeguard this fragile peace, Din Djarin and Grogu are called upon for their most thrilling mission yet.
Produced by Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni and Ian Bryce, the film also features an original score by Academy Award and Grammy Award winner Ludwig Göransson.
