
LOS ANGELES -- It's time to punch it to lightspeed! Production has officially kicked off on "Star Wars: Starfighter!"
Lucasfilm has unveiled the full cast for the exciting new standalone film directed by Shawn Levy, who previously directed Marvel Studios' "Deadpool & Wolverine."
Ryan Gosling stars alongside Flynn Gray, Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings and Amy Adams.
"Starfighter" is a fresh, standalone adventure exploring a part of the "Star Wars" universe never seen before.

Levy shared his excitement on Instagram and X, sharing a photo from the set.
"Kid - me is freaking out. Now - me is right there with him," Levy posted.
On The Red Carpet caught up with Gosling and Levi at Star Wars Celebration Japan where they first announced the new title.
"This script is so good," said Gosling.
"It's so filled with heart and humor and adventure, and I just think that's what Shawn does better than anyone."
