LOS ANGELES -- Grab the maple syrup and pull over: the highway's most famous pranksters are officially back on patrol!

Searchlight Pictures has released the trailer and poster for "Super Troopers 3," reuniting with the full Broken Lizard comedy team. Watch the full trailer here.

The Broken Lizard crew, Kevin Heffernan, Jay Chandrasekhar, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske, is back in uniform. Fans can expect the same wild humor featured throughout the franchise in the third film.

The trailer opens with a high-speed car chase before pivoting to the troop's latest departmental "upgrade": their first electric patrol car.

The transition to green energy is met with immediate comedic hostility from the troop. "What! Fossil fuels! F*** electricity! Boo!" they shout in unison.

The electric car isn't the only new addition to the force. The troop also has a new rookie, played by "Saturday Night Live's" Andrew Dismukes.

He isn't getting an easy welcome, either. In one scene, Thorny uses the rookie to make a bet with a driver: "You beat my rookie in a foot race, no ticket. One, two, three, go!"

The plot of "Super Troopers 3" focuses on Farva's engagement to Thorny's sister. In multiple instances throughout the trailer, viewers can see the tension between both of the two brothers-in-law-to-be.

After seeing Farva receive a questionable package, Thorny finally has enough, declaring in the trailer: "I'm gonna stop this wedding."

Aside from the wedding planning and family encounters, the trailer is packed with the classic chaos and shenanigans that "Super Troopers" fans love. The footage teases everything from dangerous knife-throwing to unexpected run-ins with snakes and more.

In one moment in the patrol car, Foster turns to Mac and asks the question: "Is it possible we're no longer the cool guys in our own story?"

The trailer quickly answers that question with a wild montage of high-speed chases, roadside pranks, fire blasts and even an interesting encounter involving an elephant.

Between Farva's wild bachelor party demands and Thorny's plan to ruin the "wedding of the century," it's clear the guys haven't grown up at all.

Watch "Super Troopers 3" when it hits theaters on August 7.
