SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco police arrested a man suspected of murdering an Ingleside resident during a burglary, the department said Monday.
Police say they responded to Granada Avenue around 3 p.m. Sunday for a report of a burglary.
After arriving, officers say they found a person who was suffering from severe injuries.
That person died shortly after.

Later on, police say they responded to a well-being check at Sloat Blvd and 19th Avenue.
It was there where law enforcement arrested a male suspect in connection with the homicide.
Many people who live nearby say they're shocked something like this has happened in their neighborhood.
That includes Brad Dillon.
"Pretty horrifying. I think this is about the second or third time we've heard about something kind of messed up happening in this neighborhood the past couple of weeks," he said.
Statistics from the San Francisco Police Department show both homicides and burglaries are down in the Ingleside area over the past year.
Some residents believe Sunday's events are a rare occurrence.
"We go for nightly walks and it's really a nice integrated part of San Francisco. There's a lot of lights and we feel totally safe," said Jim Lanning.
Dillon says he's lived in Ingleside for about a year and also generally feels safe.
But, he cautions, feelings can always change.
I look at the stats. I think about what I hear on the news across San Francisco, and it doesn't sound as bad as it used to be. I think we're on a general upswing. But then you have incidents like this and it gives me reason for pause," said Dillon.
SFPD says they are still actively investigating what happened and are encouraging anyone with information to reach out.
