'Solar Opposites' cast teases final season twists

LOS ANGELES -- The aliens are going out with a bang.

Hulu's animated sci-fi comedy "Solar Opposites" is gearing up for its final season, and the cast and creatives say fans are in for a wild and heartfelt ride.

In a new trailer, a dramatic twist is revealed: "One of the Solar Opposites must die."

But don't panic just yet.

"They're plants, so you know they can die - but that doesn't mean they can't be regrown and come back again," executive producer Sydney Ryan said. "So don't get too scared."
As for what else to expect, actor Thomas Middleditch, who voices Terry, promised a satisfying sendoff.

"You're going to expect everything you've ever wanted from 'Solar Opposites'," Middleditch said. "You're going to expect new stuff, silly stuff, stuff with heart, and stuff that will put a period and both sort of an ellipses on various storylines. It's gonna be a very satisfying conclusion."

All five seasons, including a Christmas special, two Halloween specials and a Valentine's Day special, are available to stream on Hulu.

The sixth and final season of Solar Opposites drops with all 10 episodes Monday, Oct. 13, on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Hulu and this ABC station.
